Taking Action – Tackling Invasive Species Prevention
Being cognizant of the serious concern regarding Aquatic Invasive Species, UMOWA worked diligently with stakeholders and the Missouri River Trout Shop to complete installation of the first boat washing station in Craig. The facility is open to the public at no charge and will consist of a high-pressure washer and cleaning supplies as well as a depository for trash. UMOWA is acutely aware of the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) initiatives in our state and we want to be at the forefront of this most important effort.
We are proud to a part of the first station in the Craig/Wolf Creek area and intend to work with Fish, Wildlife and Parks to place more of these facilities at river access points in the future.
